Message from the Office
This year’s theme
for Catholic Education Week is “Walking Forward Together” or “Aller De
L’Avant Emsemble“. During the week of April 30th to May 5, 2017
Catholic Schools across the province will celebrate the significant
contributions that Catholic Education has made to the community, the
province and to Canada. Our Catholic Graduate Expectations challenges
students to articulate in society those fundamental values that underpin
Catholic Education.
At St. Angela Merici School we celebrate
Catholic Education everyday. Throughout the week, our students will be
involved in many classroom activities that celebrate our uniqueness.
Students will participate in a Social Justice walk with our feeder
school Holy Trinity, and this year our school will perform “SAM I AM”
production. Together as a school we will be welcoming Mary into our
hearts with the Marion Celebration. And lastly, students will
participate in our last Recognition Assembly. At this assembly,
students in Grade 2 will receive their First Holy Communion Pins and our
Grade 4 students will receive a Bible. These many opportunities make
our school a wonderful place for students to learn and grow.
On
behalf of the staff at St. Angela Merici Catholic School we would like
to thank you for sending your child(ren) to Walk Forward Together as a
school family.
We would like to wish all our Mothers an Happy Mother’s Day. May the Lord continue to watch over each of you.
