Media Event held at St. Angela Merici today!

Students who walk and wheel to and from school, were in the spotlight today at a media event organized by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and hosted by our school. The event coincided with International Walk to School Day and is an important initiative to make active school travel part of regular routines. The Ontario Active School Travel (OAST) Fund, a program of Green Communities Canada (GCC) provided $110,600 for this project. Our school welcomed many special visitors for this event including the Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury Robert Keffer, Minister Mulroney, Minister Lecce, and our Chair of the Board of Trustees Carol Corriveau-Truchon.
