The Week Ahead: June 3 to 7, 2019

Congratulations to our grade 3 and 6 students for their tremendous efforts over the last two weeks in completing the EQAO assessments. Each and every one of our students did their best and we are extremely proud of them. School and individual results will be mailed to the school in early fall. Individual reports will be sent home to our students and school results, together with Board and provincial results, will be shared with our parents.
Vaping has become an issue in our schools, both elementary and secondary. Students are reminded that vaping at school will result in an automatic suspension. In addition, our Board now requires students who are suspended for this reason to complete an online module of work and pass a quiz before they are allowed to return to school. We urge our students to consider the impact of vaping on their health and the consequences.
The school year will soon be over but we still have 4 weeks before we can officially close the year and start summer break. Students are reminded and encouraged to continue to work hard. Teachers will continue to review student work and behaviours ahead of the June report card and students still have time to improve their grades. Stay focused!
