presents two information sessions
FASD & EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING
SELF REGULATION & FASD
For parents and caregivers
FASD & Executive Functioning will provide an overview of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum
Disorder (FASD); the impact to the brain and what a typical profile might look like.
Deficits in executive functioning are explained in detail and strategies to prevent
problematic behaviour are described.
Self Regulation and FASD will provide an overview of FASD; the impact to self
regulation, and strategies to help support self regulation in individuals. Learning will be
supported by activities and discussion.
You will leave both sessions with a strong understanding of diagnosis, challenges, and
the information needed to better support people with FASD.
Training provided by the Centre for Behaviour Health Science
Limited funding available for childcare.
Monday, March 25: FASD & Executive Functioning
Wednesday, April 3: Self Regulation & FASD
Each session is 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
