Junior Speech Competition
St. Angela Merici Catholic School
Not to be outdone by their older counterparts who competed yesterday, our junior public speakers lit it up today as they competed in the annual SAM In-School Junior Public Speaking Contest. The audience, comprised of students, staff, and parents and grandparents, were entertained by excellent speakers who presented topics that were sometimes serious, sometimes funny, but always informative.
Thank you to our great audience, members of which were held spellbound throughout the competition, for providing their undivided attention. Thank you also to our judges: Mr. Mantulak, Mrs. Cesnik, Ms. Ferguson, and Ms. Marchand. They truly did have the hardest job today. Above all, thank you to our great speakers. Nice to see siblings competing! It was evident that much time and effort went into the preparation and rehearsal of their speeches. They truly are winners, all of them!
Congratulations to this year’s top three speakers, as determined by our expert panel of judges:
3rd Place: Ryan R
2nd Place: Kayla P
1st Place: Quinn R
Quinn will now compete in the Lions Public Speaking Contest to be held at Sir Wm Osler Public School on the evening of Wednesday, February 20th. If you happen to be free, come out and support Quinn and our intermediate rep, Raef B. Go Archers!
