September 30th, 2022 marks the 2nd annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. This week in the Learning Commons, students learned about The Seven Grandfather Teachings. The Seven Grandfather Teachings are the principles of character that each Anishinaabe should live by. Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility & Wisdom. A special thank you to Mr. Bolsby’s class and Mr. Ellis’s class for creating this display in the Learning Commons.

This week, each class also had a special moment in their room to write a prayer to add to our Bentwood Box. Below you will find Mrs. Marchione’s class prayer.
