Translating Our School Prayer
One of our school goals is to continue to build community and to honour and celebrate the different cultures and languages that enrich our experiences at school. One way we are striving to do this is to take our school prayer and to have it translated into the many different languages our students, parents, and staff are familiar with. The hope is to have these prayers periodically recited during our morning announcements.
We thank Mr. Montevirgen for providing us with the following Tagalog translation:
Prayer of St. Angela (Tagalog version)
Pagmamahal sa Diyos,
Nawa ang tuwirang mga panalangin ng St.Angela
ay nagdadala ng ikaapat na sagana sa aming buhay.
Bilang pagtulad sa ating kabaitan at karunungan maaari
tayong mananatili tapat sa katotohanan na inihayag sa atin kay Cristo,
at pinahihintulutan ang kanyang banal na liwanag na lumiwanag
sa pamamagitan natin at sa lahat ng ating sinasabi at ginagawa.
AMEN
So far, we have The Prayer of St. Angela translated into Spanish and Tagalog. If you can offer a translation in your home language, we would be very appreciative.
